ELKO — Movement Mortgage loan officer Lorena Lissolo helps her clients understand different lending options for housing and tailors those options to their needs.
“I work with potential buyers throughout the whole process, in regards to credit to debt-to-income ratios, figuring out budgets, figuring out solutions to down payments, providing down payment assistance programs so they can either purchase their first home or purchase their next home investment property, whatever the case may be,” she said.
“I’ve actually been in the industry for 10 years. And throughout the years, what I have learned is that the process can be a little stressful, but it is always very rewarding for both myself and the clients once we get to the goal of homeownership,” Lissolo explained. “Every process, every client is unique. It’s not a one-size-fits-all. Every single client comes with different scenarios, different challenges, different obstacles we have to sort through and figure out and work through in order to get to the finish line.”

Some clients may need assistance with repairing credit, Lissolo noted. Others may want help paying off debts.
“We’re just making sure that we’re checking the check marks for each client, depending on their personal needs, in how we get to that end result,” she said.
“It’s been rewarding in the sense that every day is different. We don’t come in here and work on the same thing over and over.”
Lissolo shared some advice for women who want to enter the business world.
“You have to have a lot of determination and ride the highs and the lows equally and know that the lows don’t define you. You’re going to learn from your mistakes and you’re going to be able to grow and take that on to the next phase of the business.
“Even though there are tough days,” she said, “there are always better days that come.”
