‘My Tax Dollars Supporting This Jew-Hating?!’ Bill Maher ‘Incensed’ By Biden Student Loan Plan After Campus Protests

Comic and pundit Bill Maher said Friday he’s been “incensed” by the idea of President Joe Biden’s student debt forgiveness plan effectively directing tax dollars to support the “Jew-hating” at recent campus protests.

On the latest edition of HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher the host was joined by Fox News contributor and former Trump senior counselor Kellyanne Conway and Bloomberg Businessweek correspondent Joshua Green to discuss the election, campus protests, and other topics.

When the subject turned to Biden’s renewed student loan forgiveness plans, Maher expressed his outrage, which was shared by Conway.

“Biden administration’s student debt cancellation will cost a combined $870 billion to $1.4 trillion. That’s a lot of debt forgiveness,” said Maher.

“So unfair,” agreed Conway.

“So colleges constantly raise tuition. Then the kids take out more loans. Then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay. So my tax dollars are supporting this Jew-hating?!” said Maher. “I don’t think so.”

Green also pointed out that it’s not helping Biden politically, who faces chants of “Genocide Joe” from students at the campus protests anyway.

MAHER: This stuff is I’m so incensed about some of this stuff because, you know, when I read about the college loans. Yeah. You know, I mean, I mean, I can’t. Where’s

the stat on this? Oh. Biden administration’s student debt cancellation will cost a combined $870 billion to $1.4 trillion. That’s a lot of debt forgiveness.CONWAY: So unfair.MAHER: Okay, so colleges constantly raise tuition. Then the kids take out more loans. Then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay. So my tax dollars are supporting this Jew-hating? I don’t think so.CONWAY: No I agree with you completely. And now people are really upset. By the way, it was never fair. You can’t have plumbers and pipefitters paying for the student loans of doctors and lawyers. It’s not fair. And I’m all for the government trying to help people who need it. But he did that as a political play and everybody knows it. He’s bleeding young people’s support.GREEN: And it hasn’t worked. It hasn’t worked. If you look at issues that young people care about, Gaza is like 15th out of 16t, and the only thing that comes in lower than Gaza is student loan forgiveness. So it hasn’t worked as a motivator for the youth vote, you know, half of which are out there chanting Genocide Joe. So it’s backfired, not just in terms of public policy, but in terms of the politics, too.MAHER: Yeah. I mean, Trump is winning the youth vote by, I think, 11 points.CONWAY: According to CNN poll. Yes.MAHER: That’s pretty astounding to me.
