AUSTIN (KXAN) — Each week the in-depth reporting from the KXAN Investigates team will get a spotlight on KXAN Live.

A conversation will happen Wednesday morning with investigative reporter Kelly Wiley and KXAN Live anchor Will DuPree to break down one of this week’s top stories. People can watch the live stream starting at about 9 a.m. in this story on the station’s Facebook page.

The story they’re talking about this week is:

  • KXAN senior investigative producer David Barer and investigative reporter Mike Rush looked into Austin Community College acknowledging that its police department investigated allegations of improper business practices in the college’s own IT department, including the selection of a Virginia-based data center the college spent over $1.7 million on but never used. ACC notified the FBI, Texas Ranger Public Integrity Unit and Travis County District Attorney’s Office of the allegations and the college police department’s investigation, ACC said. The ACCPD investigation, which was not publicly disclosed, began in March 2020 and concluded in December 2022.

Join Kelly Wiley and Will DuPree every Wednesday morning for a live recap of the latest headlines and in-depth reporting from the KXAN Investigates team.
