ARPA Funds for North Branford Non-Profits Made Available by Town Council

Press Release, Town of North Branford

Last year the North Branford Town Council set aside a $50,000 fund from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to be made available to local non-profits adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During their last regular meeting in December the Council approved eligibility standards, an application form, and process to allow these nonprofits to apply for and receive funding.

“Many local nonprofits which have critical missions had their ability to raise funds or perform their functions hampered or halted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Town Manager Michael Downes. “The Town Council wants to offer support to those non-profits that have been impacted by COVID-19 and assist them in their missions.”

Eligible non-profits should operate within the Town of North Branford, have a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) designation, be established prior to March 1, 2020, and they should have experienced negative economic impacts due to COVID-19.

Application forms are available online at the Town website, northbranfordct.gov. Applications should be submitted to the office of the Town Manager by mail at Town Hall, 909 Foxon Road, North Branford CT, 06471, or scanned and email to gcox@northbranfordct.gov for review by the Town Manager, and approval of the Town Council.
