TEHRAN- Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi pointed out that “election engineering” is the keyword used by the enemies to downgrade people’s political participation in Iran’s upcoming elections.
He called participation in the elections a “Jihad.”
In a meeting on Friday, Vahidi described elections as one of the important fronts, saying, “We should make efforts to increase voter turnout at the ballot box.”
The minister also said, “Today, our important responsibility is to highlight the participation of the people at the ballot box,” adding that the enemy is attempting to move in the opposite direction with serious intent.
He emphasized the need for serious consideration of progress in all areas, including science, economics, and politics.
Vahidi emphasized that the enemies are plotting to render the Iranian government ineffective, but he stated that the government is working tirelessly to serve the people.
“President Raisi is seriously seeking to implement the policies of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in the country,” the minister said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Vahidi pointed to the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation and said that the sudden presence of American officials in Tel Aviv shows their deep concern about the developments in the region.
Vahidi highlighted that in the past two months, several high-ranking U.S. officials including the president, defense secretary, director of the CIA, national security advisor, and vice president have visited Tel Aviv. This shows that the U.S. is concerned about the growing influence of Iran in the region and on the international stage.
Referring to the victories of Islamic resistance movements in the region, he said that these groups are following in the footsteps of the Islamic Republic.
In the end, he reiterated that the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the strategic victories of the Islamic Resistance front against global criminals have all been influenced by the wise guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
