First-time farmers in New Jersey could get help from new loan program

With the average New Jersey farmer closer to retirement than college age, the state is considering a new loan program to help people getting their start in the business. Legislation co-sponsored by Sussex County Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia would direct the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the state Department of Agriculture to develop the program.
