Forgery
On May 23, a female staff member reported an altered check, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email.
Forgery with a check is a state jail felony punishable by 180 days to two years in jail, a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.
The case is still active.
Theft of property
On May 28, a male student reported the theft of his bicycle, McCord said.
In a separate case on May 30, officers investigated a stolen bicycle, which was later recovered.
Theft of property worth over $750 but less than $2,500 is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $4,000, up to one year in jail or both.
Theft of property worth $100 to $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both.
Both cases are still active.
Credit or debit card abuse
On May 31, a male faculty member reported fraudulent charges on his university procurement card, McCord said. The charges were declined and there was no pecuniary loss to the university.

Reckless damage or destruction of property
On May 31, a female staff member reported damage to her vehicle while it was parked, McCord said.
