Sweyer Property Management, is pleased to announce the hiring of Katelyn Smith, Dani Hutchins, and Mitchell Volpe.

Smith, a North Carolina native, born and raised in Monroe, is the new marketing manager. Smith moved to Wilmington to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in business administration concentrating in marketing strategy. Post-graduation, she worked for an advertising agency, where she gained extensive experience in digital and traditional advertising.
Smith is passionate, motivated, and focused on optimizing results with innovative marketing campaigns, analytics, and graphic design skills.
Smith enjoys yoga, running, traveling, taking her dog on walks, being on the water, and spending time with friends and family.
Hutchins, originally from Winston-Salem, has joined the team as a property manager and licensed North Carolina real estate broker.
Hutchins attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She began her career in the property management industry in 2019, where she managed student and conventional housing in the Wilmington area.
In her spare time, Hutchins loves doing pilates, hiking with her dog, and trying new restaurants!
Volpe joined Sweyer’s team as a property manager and licensed North Carolina real estate agent. Volpe and Sweyer team aspire to expand long-term property management services into Brunswick County.
Originally from Brunswick County, Volpe began his career in the real estate industry in 2016, when he and his dad started a construction company. He then learned the ins and outs of construction and home renovation.
“I’ve spent the last several years engulfed in every aspect of real estate from breaking ground on a new home to helping buyers find the right fit. I’m excited to join this company and I believe Sweyer Property Management opens the door even wider to create opportunities for more homeowners and investors in the Brunswick County area.” Volpe said.
As a property manager Volpe will focus primarily on building and managing a new portfolio of properties in Brunswick County as well as handling advertising, leasing, maintenance, and turnover work for those homes.
Volpe enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, and coaching youth soccer.
