New Jersey to hold property tax relief presentation for seniors in Cranford

The New Jersey Division of Taxation will provide a property tax relief application presentation for senior homeowners and renters from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

The presentation is geared for residents aged 65 and over and will be held at the Cranford Community Center

The presentation will cover the new Single Combined Application that simplifies the process for seniors to apply for property tax relief programs.

The application combines the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR (Affordable NJ Community for Homeowners & Renters), and Stay NJ programs into one form.

To be eligible for the Senior Freeze program, applicants must be New Jersey residents born before 1959 or permanently disabled residents receiving Social Security.

The ANCHOR program provides relief for homeowners and renters, while Stay NJ is specifically for senior homeowners.

Interested seniors are encouraged to visit or call the office at the Cranford Community Center at 908-709-7283 to put their name on the list for the presentation.
