PortSwigger, a distinguished leader in the cybersecurity realm, has successfully secured a substantial $112m investment from Brighton Park Capital.

This landmark funding is poised to fuel innovation and scale operations globally, marking PortSwigger’s inaugural external financial backing since its inception in 2008 by Dafydd Stuttard, also known affectionately as “Chief Swig.”

The investment will predominantly finance the enhancement of PortSwigger’s flagship products including Burp Suite Professional and Burp Suite Enterprise. These tools are integral to web application security, offering dynamic testing capabilities that cater to a broad range of customer needs from individual security professionals to large enterprises.

With this new capital, PortSwigger plans to accelerate product development, expand its research and community-focused initiatives, and fortify its international presence. The aim is to continue the company’s trajectory of pioneering innovation in web security.

Brighton Park Capital’s investment will also bolster PortSwigger’s commitment to the cybersecurity community. Increased funding will enable greater contributions to community support, robust tool development, and extensive research initiatives that benefit security professionals worldwide.
