BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—The Arc of Acadiana is expanding its presence in South Bossier and continuing its mission to serve individuals with disabilities.
The organization privatized the Northwest Support and Services Center 12 years ago and invests nearly $8 million into a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide 24/7 nursing care for medically fragile adults.
The project, which spans nearly six acres, is located off Barksdale Boulevard, neighboring a nursing facility and Bodacious Barbecue. It will feature three residential homes, a warehouse, and an office complex, enhancing services and resources for those in need.

The Arc of Acadiana extends its gratitude to the community for its ongoing support, with special recognition to Bossier Mayor Tommy Chandler, the Metropolitan Zoning Commission, and city council members for making this expansion possible.
With construction underway, the organization looks forward to further growth in South Bossier. The facility is set for completion by January 2026.
