Fichajes reports that Barcelona are eyeing Huijsen as a key addition to strengthen their defense, but signing him depends on a bigger move—the sale of Ronald Araujo.

The Catalan club see the young Bournemouth center-back as an ideal partner for Pau Cubarsí, but with a €60 million price tag, Barcelona need to generate funds before making an offer.

Araujo’s future at the club has been uncertain in recent months, as he hasn’t cemented himself as a key figure in Hansi Flick’s plans. His departure would not only ease Barcelona’s financial strain but also give the club’s sporting directors the flexibility to push for Huijsen.
