LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Today in La Crosse, the annual Thunder Ride event hosted by Rod’s Ride on Powersports is back.
The event aims to raise money for kids with diabetes. The motorcycle ride started earlier this morning, followed by a silent auction.
The general manager said he wants to assist families with children with diabetes and hopes the fundraiser will support as many families as possible.
“It’s important to me. I have children of my own. I can only imagine what it would be like to be a parent to one of these children. I don’t want to see my children go through it, and I’m sure they don’t want to see their children go through it, so if there is any way we can make it a little easier on them than what we try to do, that’s great,” said Neil Williams general manager of Rod’s Ride on Powersports.
Last year, they raised around $47,500, and this year, they hope to raise $50,500 if you would like to donate, visit rodsrides.com.
