Listen to this articleThe construction industry continued to be plagued by a series of challenges in 2024. From ongoing labor shortages to supply chain disruptions and economic uncertainty, developers have had to be flexible and steadfast to get projects from the proposal stage to completion. Despite all those challenges, a remarkable number of projects were successfully completed last year, 52 of which have been selected for Finance & Commerce’s annual Top Projects awards.
Projects honored this year include the American Indian Magnet School, a redevelopment of the Canterbury Park Barn in Shakopee, several medical facilities, and a plethora of affordable, market-rate and luxury apartment buildings.
When selecting the projects, an independent panel of judges looked at the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
The projects will be featured in a special magazine and in a series of stories and photos in the Finance & Commerce daily newspaper and on the F&C website starting in July. The people and companies behind the projects will also be honored at a July 17 event at Quincy Hall in Minneapolis. Get ticket and additional event information here.
