PNB Housing Finance’s retail loans surge 18%, total book tops ₹75,000 crore at March end


PNB Housing Finance Limited has reported a robust performance in its Retail segment, with an approximate 18% year-on-year growth as of March 31, 2025. This surge has propelled the company’s total loan book past ₹75,000 crore, underscoring its strong position in the housing finance sector.

A key highlight of this growth is the Affordable Housing Segment, which reached ₹5,000 crore by the end of March 2025. This reflects PNB Housing’s dedication to expanding homeownership opportunities and supporting financial inclusion across diverse customer segments in India. The figures are provisional and subject to review by the company’s statutory auditors.

Girish Kousgi, Managing Director and CEO of PNB Housing Finance, stated, “The 18% growth in our Retail segment and a total loan book exceeding ₹75,000 crore demonstrate our ability to meet the evolving needs of homebuyers. Our focus on affordable housing, now at ₹5,000 crore, aligns with the government’s ‘Housing for All’ mission and strengthens our commitment to accessibility.”

The company’s success is driven by positive sectoral trends, including rapid urbanisation, enhanced affordability, and supportive initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2.0. PNB Housing Finance offers a diversified range of products across Prime, Emerging Markets, and Affordable housing segments, catering to varying income levels and reinforcing its market presence.

Promoted by Punjab National Bank, PNB Housing Finance Limited is a registered Housing Finance Company with the National Housing Bank (NHB). Since its listing on Indian stock exchanges on November 7, 2016, it has been a key player in providing retail and corporate housing finance solutions.

Shares of the company ended 5.4% higher at a price of 920.00 on Wednesday.
