Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn are standing by their decision.
The married couple of nearly two decades revealed they have always kept their finances separate from one another—with the exception of a shared pool that goes toward their family expenses, primarily their 16-year-old twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly.
“We keep our money completely separate. I mean there’s like a community pot,” Rebecca shared in a joint interview with Jerry on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on July 17. “That’s one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together.”
So, while they have separate accounts, they contribute to the community pot “quarterly” and the money each of them puts in can vary, according to the X-Men alum, as it “depends on who’s working more.”
Rebecca, 52, added, “The one who’s not working gets a little bit of a break and the one who is working puts in a little more.”

Beyond family finances, they also have frank conversations about their work schedules. Typically, only one of them is working a busy schedule at a time so that they can ensure at least one of them is always around for their daughters.
“We really tag-team with work,” she explained to fellow parent of two Andy Cohen. “We also decided when our girls were born that one of us would always stay home with our daughters, so no one else is ever going to raise them besides us.”

Of course, Jerry and Rebecca, who tied the knot in 2007, have often been candid about their life together. In fact, last year he detailed one of their other major rules as a couple: how to go about friends getting divorced.
“When you get older, couples you know get divorced. We have a rule, we immediately separately get in touch with everybody and say, ‘Hey, always here for you, let us know if we can help,’” Jerry revealed on his former show The Talk in October. “All that stuff.”
He emphasized that their outlook comes from Rebecca’s own experience following her 2005 divorce from John Stamos and how oftentimes, “friends pick sides.”
As he explained it, “We make it a rule, talk to everybody. We’re friends with everybody.”

Eight years after sharing in an ELLE article that she had been battling a rare type of bone cancer—her fake diagnosis even inspiring a storyline on Grey’s Anatomy—show writer Elisabeth Finch admitted in December it was all a ruse.
“I told a lie when I was 34 years old and it was the biggest mistake of my life. It just got bigger and bigger and bigger and got buried deeper and deeper inside me,” Elisabeth told The Ankler newsletter Dec. 7, adding, “I’ve never had any form of cancer.”
Summed up Finch, who was placed on administrative leave from the ABC medical drama before eventually resigning, said, “What I did was wrong. Not okay. F–ked up. All the words.”

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.
Telling The New York Times the lengths she would go to for a more youthful appearance, the reality star cracked that she was willing to try just about anything.
“If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might,” she said in June. “I just might.”
In a July 2022 interview with Allure, Kim said she was “kind of joking” about the comment, though the idea didn’t seem too terrible.
“But now that I think about it,” Kim added, “I would probably eat s–t if someone told me, ‘If you eat this bowl of poop every single day, you’ll look younger.'”
How much could she make room for? “Maybe just a bite,” she told the outlet. “I don’t think I can do a whole bowl.”
