Lloyds Bank and Halifax are set to close 86 more branches in 2025 between August and December. Customers who prefer face-to-face banking are being hit once more by further closures by major high street banks.

Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are part of the same family. And you can now use any of the branches for your everyday banking. The bank said: “The simplest and fastest way to do your banking is by using our app or online. But, if you need to use a branch, you can now also visit any Halifax or Bank of Scotland branch. We’re proud to be part of a family.

“In our Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches, you’ll get the same friendly welcome and service you’re used to. You can do things like pay in cash and cheques, take out or transfer money, and pay bills. If you’d like to open a new account our colleagues will show you how, using our mobile banking app.
