
Clients of PNC Bank reported an outage with the mobile banking app on Friday, with hundreds of users reporting an outage on Downdetector, a platform that tracks such outages based on user’s reports. As of this writing, there were more than 700 reports on Downdetector of issues with accessing banking services. Most of the issues were about clients not being able to access banking services through the mobile app.
Several users also shared their frustration with the PNC Bank mobile app on X, the social media platform formerly known as X. Meanwhile, in the comments section on Downdetector, one user claimed the local branch informed that the banking systems had been down all day long, blocking deposits, withdraws and mobile banking.
The official account of PNC Bank Help Desk responded to users’ queries on X, saying that the engineering team is looking into the issues. “Thanks for letting us know. We understand that some customers are experiencing access issues. Our technology teams are engaged and are working to restore access as quickly as possible. -JM,” the account wrote in a post.

PNC Bank, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a major regional bank in America. Operating in 27 states and the District of Columbia, PNC maintains over 2,600 branches and approximately 9,500 ATMs, it is one of the largest banks in the United States.
