Banking sector deposits increased by 14.1 percent year-on-year (YoY) in June 2025, according to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan.
Banking deposits increased to Rs. 35.5 trillion as of June 2025 (June 2024: Rs. 31.1 trillion), while advances also increased by 8.7 percent YoY to Rs. 13.5 trillion during the same period (June 2024: Rs. 12.4 trillion).
Investments jumped by 21.2 percent YoY to Rs. 36.6 trillion (June 2024: Rs. 30.2 trillion).
The advance to deposit (ADR) ratio stood at 38.1 percent in June 2025, down by 186bps YoY and 172bps month-on-month (MoM).
Meanwhile, the investment to deposit (IDR) ratio clocked in at 103.0 percent in June 2025, up 608bps YoY but down 282bps MoM.
