Legislation will clear up Investment Boost classifications


IRD has had queries about what investment is eligible for the 20% deduction and what’s not.

Inland Revenue has been consulting businesses about Investment Boost.

Just months after introducing its Investment Boost policy in the May Budget, the coalition Government will make amendments to the policy in its August tax bill.

That legislation is expected to be made public about the middle of next month.

The changes have not been spelled out but will aim to clarify
