GERMANTOWN — The Germantown Community Library, N112-W16957 Mequon Road, announced recently that it is collecting donations and raising funds for upgrades for its outdoor patio area.
According to the project description on the GCL website, the project is meant to create a welcoming and functional outdoor space for visitors to connect with neighbors and fellow community members as well as provide a space for young residents to learn and inspire one another.
Some highlights of the project include: ADA-compliant pathways, a partial fence to separate parking lot, a youth play space, a butterfly garden and updated landscaping.
Donations can be made with cash or check by filling out the bottom of the form available to print on the GCL website. Forms can be turned into the Circulation Desk or mailed to the library. For credit card or 501(C)(3) donations citizens can contact Trisha Smith, library director, at smithp@germantownlibrarywi. org Those who donate different amounts can receive special donor recognition features based on the donation amount, from a small leaf in the children’s area to bricks in the patio and more.
